Rothenburg ob der Tauber is in Southern Germany, in Bavaria. The city wall can be walked all the way around and the old architecture creates a nice atmosphere.

These photos are incredible. Everything looks so vertical and steep! The structure at the very top of the hill, is that the abby? There also seems to be a lot of things done to the perimeter of the buildings (the covered staircase on the outside) as well as the city (the covered walkway). I would love to read your annotations in English if you would not mind.
